Breakfast at Ninas

After a late 'gig' Nina Dellamura invited me to stay with her in London overnight,
as I lived most of the time in Birmingham, with my parents.

I woke next morning to the delicious aroma of breakfast cooking.
When I asked Nina what it was, she was surprised that I had
never smelled or tasted garlic before.


She had fried it with tomatoes. It was delicious and I've loved to use garlic in
my cooking ever since. As I recall, her father was Italian.
