"The Man Outside" - Elstree Studios
(From Mary Dumain)

In 1958 Ivy and the Girls were playing the parts of Dance Band musicians in the fim "The Man Inside".
The film starred Anita Ekberg, Jack Palance , Nigel Patrick and Anthony Newley.

Ivy put June Lesley (Vocals) on Tenor Sax, and Carol Elvin (Vocals) on Trombone - miming, as the
Soundtrack had already been recorded, and she thought they were more photogenic (quite hurtful for some).

The Girls had to get to the Studios very early and were quite excited - but they spent ages
hanging around waiting for Anita Ekberg to have her hair reset.

The scene was then shot with her hair draped with a chiffon scarf - very amusing!
